(More customer reviews)Well, they ARE cotton flannel.And dark blue.But those are the only accurate points in the official description for these sheets!They're NOT "luxury weight" nor "Queen size".
This is the first item (out of very many items that I've bought from Amazon) that I've ever been unhappy with or felt overcharged for;and this is the only review, and certainly the only negative review, I've ever been inclined to write for this site.
These flannel sheets are the typical low-to-mid-grade type you find at Wal-Mart or Target - often for about half this price.I should have saved myself a fair chunk of money (and the exorbitant shipping fee) and made the bus trip to one of those stores instead of shopping for a "bargain" on Amazon.Furthermore, size-wise I would say these are "roomy, deep-pocket Full" at best.That's what I was going for, fortunately, and I'm very glad I ordered Queen-size deliberately to have plenty of "play" in the fit on my deep, Full-size mattress.What these actually provide is not "plenty of play" but rather what I'd call a barely relaxed fit, i.e. it covers the mattress fully and easily but with nothing to spare, no extra to tuck under or drag on the floor.No way these would fit on a Queen-sized mattress without stretching, and they'd be constantly slipping off the mattress corners!
How the sheets wear, and whether they'll tend to "pill", remains to be seen; but I'm not expecting to come back with a *happy* update in 6 months or so.
