(More customer reviews)My wife and I have had a few sets of normal cotton blend sheets for our waterbed for about 10 years, and had held up pretty well, but we were ready for something new. After doing some reading,I decided to break down and get some Egyptian cotton sheets, since they were supposed to be very comfortable and durable.

While that may be true for some, that was not my experience with this set. For the $12 i paid in shipping, I would have liked to have them sooner than 8 or 9 days after ordering them.

Once we got them, they were the most comfortable sheet I had slept on for a long time....at least at first.We have had them for a month or two any they are already pilling (little scratchy balls of fabric) all over.From what I had read before ordering, 100% Egyptian cotton isn't supposed to pill due to the long fibers it's made from.

Considering none of our sets of 10 year old (and much less expensive) sheets we already had have have ever pilled, we are disappointed to say the least in this set.For $80 I would have expected them to last just a little longer.
